About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in daily school life - supporting teachers, guiding students, and helping to deliver engaging, effective lessons across a variety of subjects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with teachers to support learning in subjects like English, Maths, Science, and Humanities.
  • Providing individual or group support to students, especially those with additional needs or EAL.
  • Assisting with classroom management and helping maintain a focused, respectful learning environment.
  • Leading small group interventions or revision sessions under the direction of the teaching team.
  • Helping students stay on track emotionally and academically throughout the school day.
  • Contributing to enrichment activities and wider school life, such as clubs or trips.

Who We're Looking For:

We're keen to hear from graduates who:

  • Hold a 2:2 degree or higher (subject areas like English, Maths, Science, Psychology, History or similar are particularly welcomed).
  • Are enthusiastic, confident communicators with a natural ability to connect with young people.
  • Bring a positive, proactive approach to learning support.
  • Are considering teacher training and want to build classroom experience before applying.
  • Have some experience working with children or teenagers - whether through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, volunteering, or other roles.
  • Can commit to working full-time during school hours for the academic year.
  • Are eligible to work in the UK and willing to complete an enhanced DBS check.
