SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Newham who are looking for a behaviour mentor to join their team!

The school is a 3-form entry primary school in Forest gate.

The role will be to work with a group of key students who can display challenging behaviour and need additional support.

As a behaviour mentor, you will:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students who exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group mentoring sessions focused on emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and social skills
  • Help students identify triggers and develop coping mechanisms for managing emotions and behaviour.
  • Support students in lessons, helping them remain engaged and on task
  • De-escalate incidents of challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans in collaboration with SENCOs or pastoral leads.
  • Help lead restorative approaches following incidents or conflicts.
