Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Derby to recruit a full-time Teacher of General Science to join their team from September 2025 until December 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inspiring students across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4 level.

The Role:

You'll be teaching general Science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and accessible lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy. The successful candidate will be confident teaching across all three disciplines and able to adapt their lessons to suit a range of learning styles and abilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A Science specialism with the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3/4

  • A dynamic and engaging teaching approach

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • A flexible and proactive mindset

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
