Full-Time School Caretaker - Multiple Roles Available Across Sheffield

We are currently recruiting for experienced Caretakers and Facilities Managers to work across a number of schools in the Sheffield area. These are full-time roles offering long-term opportunities and the chance to make a real difference in local school communities.

About the Role:


As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience as a school caretaker or facilities manager.

  • Are practical, proactive, and able to manage a wide range of duties including site security, minor repairs, and general maintenance.

  • Ideally have access to your own transport, as you may be working across different school sites.

  • Can work independently and respond quickly and effectively to site needs.

  • Are flexible and reliable, with a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to be vetted in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines.

  • A current Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce Update Service is essential, or you must be willing to apply for one.
