Facilities Assistant - Supply Basis (Primary Schools - Sheffield Area)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Flexible supply work

Are you a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant looking for flexible work across a variety of primary school settings?

We are working on behalf of a respected Multi-Academy Trust to recruit Facilities Assistants supporting a number of primary schools across the Sheffield area. This is a flexible supply role ideal for individuals with a hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining safe and welcoming school environments.

The Role:

As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of school sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing the school premises (key holder duties)

  • Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs

  • Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure

  • Responding to site-related issues as required

  • Assisting with health & safety checks and compliance tasks

  • Supporting the site team and school leadership with operational needs

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a facilities, caretaking, or maintenance role (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong awareness of health & safety and site security

  • Flexibility to work across multiple school sites in Sheffield

  • Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
