SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support for KS1 Pupil (Autism)
Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £95 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Academic Year)
Hours: 8:15am - 4:15pm, Monday to Friday and 3.00pm finish on a Friday (Term Time Only)
A primary school in Ealing is working with SANZA Teaching Agency to recruit a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism and additional complex needs. This role begins in September 2025 and runs for the full academic year.
The child is currently non-verbal and presents with sensory processing difficulties. They require a calm, highly structured learning environment, regular movement breaks, and carefully managed time-out strategies. With consistent support, the pupil has shown measurable progress, and the school is seeking a dedicated professional to build on that success.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured, consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Assist with communication, routine, transitions, and regulation strategies
Implement individual targets as set by the SENCO and external professionals
Work closely with the class teacher and inclusion team to adapt learning tasks
Maintain a safe, nurturing environment that promotes engagement and independence
Provide regular feedback to staff and parents on progress and behaviour
Candidate Profile:

Proven experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or similar SEN needs
A calm, patient and reliable approach to behaviour management
A collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
The ability to remain consistent, responsive, and proactive throughout the day
