We are currently working with inclusive and forward-thinking schools in Northampton seeking dedicated Special Needs Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes for students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development in line with their individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet changing needs
Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour strategies within the classroom
Contribute to whole-school SEND policies and attend relevant training and meetings
Who We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND education
A strong understanding of different SEND needs including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities
Skilled in differentiated teaching and behaviour management
Empathetic, patient, and committed to the well-being and progress of every child
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
