Unqualified Science Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time - Long-Term with Potential for Permanent Role
Salary: £100-£150 per day (Dependent on Experience & School Support Provided)

We are working with a number of supportive secondary schools in Northampton seeking enthusiastic, unqualified Science Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These full-time roles are ideal for science graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators without formal QTS who are looking to build a career in education.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and structured lessons in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics across KS3 and KS4
Work alongside experienced teachers to plan and deliver science content aligned with the national curriculum
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles and abilities
Support with assessment, marking and progress tracking under the guidance of qualified staff
Participate in school training, safeguarding, and CPD opportunities as part of your development
Ideal Candidate:
Degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Engineering preferred)
Prior experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable
Confident communicator with a strong presence and natural enthusiasm for Science
Resilient, organised, and committed to student progress
Open to feedback and eager to learn - ideal for those considering a future PGCE or teacher training route
Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
