The Role and Key Responsibilities 🛠️
As the Estates and Facilities Manager, you will be the guardian of our school's physical assets. Your responsibilities will span both strategic planning and hands-on operational duties, including:
Estate Management: Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring the school adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations, including fire safety, COSHH, and risk assessments.
Contract & Budget Management: Effectively managing the facilities budget, sourcing and supervising external contractors, and ensuring value for money on all projects.
Strategic Planning: Contributing to long-term plans for site development, refurbishment, and sustainability initiatives.
Team Leadership: Managing and motivating the site team to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
About You 🔍
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in a similar facilities or premises management role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
A strong, up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Superb communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external partners.
