Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs? A secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.

About the Role:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to provide personalised learning support to students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for SEN students.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies.
  • Monitor and record student progress for SEN reviews.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous SEN experience within a school or youth setting (desirable).
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting learning.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
