Teaching Assistant - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire - September 2025 Start!
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a secondary academy in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside the 'Excellence Department', supporting students with mobility, learning, or social and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 or group support to students with special educational needs (SEND)
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum
- Encourage positive interaction, raise student confidence, and promote inclusion
- Work collaboratively with teachers to manage and support student progress
- Supervise students, ensuring their safety and support their individual needs
- Assist with physical and personal care, where applicable
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEND or a strong willingness to learn
- Passion for supporting students in a mainstream secondary school setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A pro-active approach with the ability to maintain focus and motivate students
- A desire to pursue a career within school settings (ideal for those considering teacher training)
