With a focus on play-based learning and holistic development, the Early Years provision is well-resourced and led by experienced practitioners who are committed to giving every child the best possible start in life.

The Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 3-5 in Nursery and Reception classes. • Encouraging social development, cooperation, and independence in young learners

  • Observing children's progress and contributing to assessments and learning journals

  • Supporting children with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included in activities

  • Maintaining a safe, tidy, and engaging learning environment, indoors and outdoors

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on, creative, and energetic, with a genuine love of working with young children.

The ideal candidate will be warm, patient, and committed to supporting children's development. You should have:

  • Experience working with young children in an early years or nursery setting

  • A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or Early Years Educator (desirable but not essential)

  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development

  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues

  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to children's needs

  • Creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for play-based learning

What the School and Tradewind Can Offer
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a supportive and friendly team. In return, you will benefit from:

  • A well-resourced EYFS environment with dedicated indoor and outdoor learning areas

  • Support from experienced Early Years teachers and senior leaders

  • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development

  • A positive and inclusive school ethos where staff wellbeing is valued

Tradewind Recruitment also provides:

  • Competitive daily pay rates, paid weekly

  • Free access to professional development courses, including EYFS-specific training

  • Continuous support from a dedicated consultant

  • Opportunities to progress into permanent roles or further Early Years qualifications
