SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Newham
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at our secondary school in Newham.

About the role
As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to access learning and achieve their potential. You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of needs.

  • Assist in creating an inclusive, positive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and other professionals to implement individual learning plans.

  • Support students' social, emotional and academic development.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its community.

About you
We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential).

  • A caring, patient and flexible approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.

  • A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
