SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Newham
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at our secondary school in Newham.
About the role
As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to access learning and achieve their potential. You will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of needs.
Assist in creating an inclusive, positive and nurturing learning environment.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo and other professionals to implement individual learning plans.
Support students' social, emotional and academic development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and its community.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
Experience of working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential).
A caring, patient and flexible approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
