Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Ealing, West London
Salary: £95 per day, paid weekly
Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a 2-form entry primary school in Ealing to recruit Special Needs Assistants for September 2025. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and higher levels of learning needs.

The Role

As a Special Needs Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with pupils who have significant special educational needs (SEND), particularly autism

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to help pupils access learning and achieve progress

  • Support social, emotional, and communication development

  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and outside professionals to deliver effective support strategies

  • Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for children with complex needs

  • Understand that some children may find school life frustrating, which can at times result in challenging behaviour, requiring patience, consistency, and perseverance

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience supporting children in schools with autism and complex special needs

  • Are patient, perseverant, and able to remain calm under pressure

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Are adaptable, resilient, and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
