Student Support Lead - Secondary School - Kettering, Northamptonshire
Location: Kettering
Salary: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP or Negotiable

Are you passionate about student wellbeing, pastoral care, and creating a positive, inclusive school environment? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a high-achieving secondary school in Kettering, seeking a dedicated Student Support Lead to join their pastoral team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting the personal, emotional, and social development of students-ensuring that every young person feels safe, supported, and ready to thrive.

The Role:

  • Lead on the day-to-day management of student wellbeing and pastoral support
  • Act as a key point of contact for students requiring additional emotional or behavioural support
  • Work closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs, safeguarding leads, and external agencies
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and engagement, implementing early interventions as required
  • Support a positive and respectful school culture through consistent application of behaviour policies
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual support plans

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a pastoral, behavioural, or inclusion-focused role within a school or youth setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
  • A calm, empathetic, and solution-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant pastoral frameworks (desirable)
