Science Teacher - West London
A large and inclusive secondary school based in West London is looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from October half term.
The role is offered on a long-term contract, with the strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
This is a full-time position, but the school is open to part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Inner London MPS/UPS salary will apply.
Responsibilities - Science Teacher - West London
Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (any specialism - Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
Inspire curiosity and a love for science, helping students understand the real-world applications of scientific knowledge
Contribute to a supportive and collaborative department, sharing best practices and resources
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching to meet their individual needs
Uphold the school's values and high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Participate in department meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Promote science as a subject and support with extracurricular opportunities where appropriate

Qualifications and Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in a Science-related subject
Excellent subject knowledge and passion for teaching
Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
