Specialist Teaching Assistants - Cornwall

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Cornwall, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with experience in education or those coming from care, support work, youth work, or other roles with transferable skills who want to make a real difference.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges

• Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and maths

• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments

• Building positive relationships and helping pupils develop confidence and independence

About You:

• Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential

• A caring, patient, and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Open to applicants with transferable skills from care, support work, or similar backgrounds

• Commitment to promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment
