Functional Skills English Teacher - Alternative Provision - Blackpool

Full-Time (Temp-to-Perm potential)

£130 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive and well-established Alternative Provision in Blackpool, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Functional Skills English Teacher to start as soon as possible.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable young people in education by helping them gain essential qualifications and build brighter futures.

About the Role:

Subject: Functional Skills English (Entry Level - Level 2)

Class Size: Maximum of 8 pupils per class

Learners: Pupils who may present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or gaps in education

Curriculum: Focused on practical literacy and real-life application of English skills

Support: Strong team of teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and leadership

Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS/QTLS or be an experienced FE/functional skills instructor

Have experience teaching Functional Skills English or similar alternative pathways

Be confident in managing challenging behaviour in a calm, supportive manner

Build positive relationships and deliver creative, engaging lessons
