After-School Maths & English Tutors - Blackpool (October 2025 Start)

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Maths and English Tutors to deliver high-quality, after-school sessions to our students in Blackpool. This is a rewarding part-time role designed to provide targeted academic support to secondary school students from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

This position is ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, or university students with a strong academic background in Maths or English. You will be working with small groups of students to boost their confidence, reinforce core concepts, and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging after-school tutoring sessions in Maths or English.

  • Work with students on a one-on-one or small-group basis to address specific learning gaps.

  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages academic growth.

  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to align tutoring sessions with the curriculum.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential Experience: Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths or English, particularly with secondary school-aged students.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, encouraging approach.

  • Reliability and a commitment to helping students succeed.

  • A relevant academic qualification or teaching experience is highly desirable.

Hours: 3:30pm - 5:30pm, with flexible days available.
