Job Description

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Burnage, South Manchester, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 teacher to join their Key Stage 1. This part-time Year 2 teaching position will begin in January 2026 and continue until the end of the academic year, working closely alongside an experienced teacher as part of a job share.

With a strong focus on creativity, collaboration and high expectations, the school provides a well-rounded education that nurtures the whole child.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Share responsibility for assessment, planning and reporting for the Year 2 class
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement
  • Collaborate effectively with the job share partner and wider staff team to ensure continuity and consistency for pupils
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school

  • Hold a relevant Teaching qualification
  • I strong track record in Key Stage 1
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
