We are seeking a diligent and experienced School Finance Officer to join our team at a dedicated alternative provision in Barnoldswick. This is a crucial permanent role for a financial professional who is passionate about supporting education and making a real difference.


The Role: Finance Officer, Barnoldswick AP

As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the school. You'll work closely with the School Business Manager to ensure all financial processes are managed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall financial health of our school. .

Key responsibilities include:

  • Invoicing and Payments: Processing all purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims.

  • Budget Tracking: Assisting with budget monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting.

  • Banking: Handling school banking, petty cash, and financial reconciliations.

  • Payroll: Supporting the preparation of monthly payroll information.

  • General Administration: Providing a high level of administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with financial software (e.g., FMS, Sage) and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.

  • A proactive, reliable, and professional approach.
