About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is offering both full-time and part-time opportunities for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Tameside. In this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with a variety of SEND needs
Assist with the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored activities
Support the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
Help pupils with personal care where required, in line with their individual needs
Track and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
Build strong relationships with pupils to foster trust, motivation, and confidence
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children or young adults, ideally in an SEND setting
A passion for working with children with diverse needs and backgrounds
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Proactive and adaptable approach to classroom support
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) desirable but not essential
A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
