Classroom Support Assistant - Secondary School

We are currently recruiting on behalf of secondary schools on the Wirral for a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.

About the Role:

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students within the classroom across a range of subjects

• Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons where needed

• Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis

• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

• Support pupils with additional needs in line with EHCPs

• Provide feedback to teachers and contribute to student progress records

Requirements:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students (preferred)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A patient, positive, and resilient attitude

• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative

• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
