Are you an experienced SENCO or Assistant SENCO looking for an exciting opportunity in Chelmsford? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities? The school offer fantastic facilities and supportive SLT they are seeking an exceptional SENCO to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEN support: Provide strategic support and direction for the schools SEND provision.
- Assessment: Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND.
- Support: Develop and implement support plans tailored to individual students.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Training: Deliver training to staff on SEND-related matters.
- Compliance: Ensure the school's SEND provision complies with statutory requirements.
- Data Analysis: Use data to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience with SEN teaching or support.
- Qualifications: Relevant SENCO qualifications is an advantage but not essential for this role, however, you'll have to demonstrate experience of supporting SENCO
- Knowledge: A thorough understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
