Salary: £90 - 100 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Trafford, seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with additional learning needs, while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and professional educational environment.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. You may also support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs, helping to keep them engaged and focused in lessons.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a variety of subjects

  • Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Encouraging and promoting pupil independence

  • Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour

  • Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting

  • Be confident supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs

  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

  • Be proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player

  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) - desirable but not essential

  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one via Tradewind Recruitment
