Job Description

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Burnage area of south Manchester is seeking a caring, patient, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This ongoing role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with behavioural difficulties, helping them to access learning and thrive in the classroom environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 3 with mild behavioural difficulties, helping them to stay engaged and focused in lessons.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering learning activities and adapting tasks where necessary.
  • Promote positive behaviour and build a trusting, supportive relationship with the child.
  • Work closely with the school's SENDCo, teaching staff, and parents to monitor progress and ensure consistent support strategies are in place.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment for all pupils.

  • Hold a relevant Teaching assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
