Are you looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Corby area, who are seeking a part-time Cover Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring that students remain on task in the absence of the regular class teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or those with experience working with young people to gain hands-on classroom experience in a flexible, part-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising students in the absence of the class teacher
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
Delivering set work and ensuring students remain focused
Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with young people (school, youth work, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A confident and proactive approach to working with students
Flexibility to work 2-3 days per week (days can be discussed)
