Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Crewe, who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential - academically, socially, and emotionally.


The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide in-class and individual support to students with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting students in lessons to ensure they stay engaged and focused

  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence

  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt lesson materials

  • Providing pastoral support to students who may require emotional encouragement

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all pupils

This is a full-time, term-time only role with the potential to continue on a long-term basis or become permanent for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school or care setting

  • Be confident in supporting students with a range of special educational needs

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience

  • Be flexible, proactive, and committed to helping every pupil succeed

  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) - desirable but not essential

  • Possess an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind
