Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Crewe, who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide in-class and individual support to students with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Your duties will include:
Supporting students in lessons to ensure they stay engaged and focused
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence
Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt lesson materials
Providing pastoral support to students who may require emotional encouragement
Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all pupils
This is a full-time, term-time only role with the potential to continue on a long-term basis or become permanent for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school or care setting
Be confident in supporting students with a range of special educational needs
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, patience, and resilience
Be flexible, proactive, and committed to helping every pupil succeed
Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) - desirable but not essential
Possess an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind
