Pastoral Support Worker - Secondary School - Salford
Pay: £90 - £100 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a thriving Secondary School in Salford who are seeking a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join their team as soon as possible.
The role will focus on providing guidance, support, and mentoring to pupils across the school who may be facing barriers to learning due to social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding pupil wellbeing, and ensuring that all students are fully supported to succeed in their education.
Key responsibilities will include:
Offering one-to-one and small group support for students with pastoral or behavioural needs.
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Supporting the school's safeguarding and inclusion policies.
Helping pupils to develop strategies to manage their behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Working closely with the pastoral and safeguarding team to implement interventions.
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience working in schools or educational settings - this is essential. Applications from candidates without school-based experience cannot be considered.
Be confident in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
Be committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and the personal development of young people.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with students.
