Food Technician - Secondary School (Food Technology Departments)
Location: Daventry
Start Date: October 2025
Salary: £23,592.44 - £25,152.73 (pro-rata, term-time only)

We're working with a number of Secondary schools across Daventry who are looking for reliable and organised Food Technicians to support their Food Technology departments from October 2025. These roles are perfect for those with practical food experience looking for a term-time position that helps inspire the next generation of cooks, nutritionists, and food scientists.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and organise ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons
Support teachers and students during food-based activities and demonstrations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in classroom kitchens
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory effectively
Help set up and clear away after lessons, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Promote a safe, well-organised, and engaging environment for students aged 11-18
Who You Are:
Experience in food preparation, catering, or hospitality (school experience is a bonus)
Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices (Level 2 Food Safety certificate desirable)
Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Comfortable working with young people in a busy classroom setting
A team player with a professional, can-do attitude
Willing to undertake relevant training such as First Aid, COSHH, or Food Safety if needed
