121 Teaching Assistant - Mansfield

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: £88.98-£115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

Are you a patient, caring, and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Mansfield seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in EYFS.

You will play a key role in helping this child access learning, regulate emotions, and thrive in the classroom environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and SEN support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs (SEND/SEMH)

  • Assist in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated tasks

  • Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation

  • Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress

  • Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children (ideally in a 1:1 or SEN role)

  • Calm, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with pupils

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

  • Relevant TA qualification or child-based experience is desirable
