About the role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during planned or unplanned teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and safe. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working in education but prefer not to take on full teaching responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
Supervising classes following detailed lesson plans provided by teachers
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Supporting students with their work and encouraging good conduct
Reporting any issues or concerns to teaching staff and school leadership
Assisting with administrative tasks related to cover duties
What we're looking for:
Experience working in a school environment (cover supervision or teaching assistant roles preferred)
Strong classroom management skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different subjects and year groups
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply)
