Teaching Assistant - SEMH School

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school within Wigan. This is a full-time, long-term position, starting ASAP.

About the Role:

Supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs
1:1 and small group intervention work
Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
Helping pupils access learning and achieve their potential
Term-time only, Monday to Friday

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children or young people (education, youth work or care)
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Confidence managing challenging behaviour
Passion for inclusion and mental health awareness
SEMH or SEND experience desirable but not essential
