Are you passionate about science and keen to inspire the next generation of learners? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Science Technicians to join a number of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Croydon.
As a Science Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science lessons. Working closely with teachers and students, you'll help prepare practical experiments, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure a smooth and efficient running of the science department.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up materials and equipment for science lessons.
Support teachers during practical experiments and demonstrations.
Maintain and store laboratory apparatus, chemicals, and resources safely.
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
Assist in the development of engaging and interactive science activities.
About You
A strong interest in science with a hands-on, practical approach.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a school laboratory setting is desirable, but not essential.
A science-related qualification or background would be an advantage.
