Key Responsibilities of a Teacher of Maths:

As a Teacher of Maths, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are inclusive and differentiated

  • Use innovative teaching methods to motivate and challenge students of all abilities

  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to whole-school improvement

  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters achievement and enthusiasm for learning

Requirements:

To be successful as a Teacher of Maths, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Mathematics

  • Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school setting

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
