Our client, a warm and ambitious primary school in Southend On Sea, Essex, is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their vibrant and inclusive team. The school blends traditional values with creative teaching, with a culture that celebrates curiosity, individuality, and progress, it's a school where both staff and students are encouraged to thrive.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across the curriculum

  • Support class teachers with whole-class and small group teaching

  • Assist in classroom management to maintain a positive and productive learning environment

  • Cover classes when needed, ensuring continuity of learning

  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to support pupils' progress and development

  • Contribute to wider school activities, including planning and assessment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

  • Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school environment

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging learning activities

  • A proactive and adaptable approach with a commitment to supporting all learners

This Role May Suit:

  • Experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants seeking part-time hours

  • Teaching Assistants aiming to progress to HLTA status

  • Graduates or education professionals with relevant experience
