Early Years Teaching Assistant - Southwark (South East London)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (term time only)
Pay: From £96+ per day (PAYE) / equivalent to £110+ per day (Umbrella)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Southwark. This long-term position begins in November 2025 and will continue through to the end of the academic year.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the class teacher to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, supporting pupils' social and emotional development, and contributing to the smooth running of the class.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an Early Years setting
• Holds a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) - this is an advantage but not essential
• Demonstrates a patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Has excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for working with young children
