School Caretaker - Kensington and Chelsea

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a reliable and flexible School Caretaker to join a welcoming all-girls school in Kensington and Chelsea. This role is key to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised school environment for staff and pupils. Flexible working hours are essential, as shifts may be:

  • 6:00am - 2:00pm

  • 10:00am - 6:00pm

  • 8:00am - 4:00pm

This is a Monday to Friday position including half terms, starting immediately after half term.

Key Duties:

  • Daily cleaning and upkeep of school premises, including classrooms, offices, corridors, and facilities

  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks

  • Monitoring security systems and ensuring the safety of school buildings

  • Setting up rooms for school events, assemblies, or exams

  • Managing deliveries, stock, and general school equipment

  • Supporting emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid assistance if required

Skills and Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role preferred

  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and minor repairs

  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in working hours

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Eligibility to apply for a DBS check and provide full references covering the last 10 years
