1:1 Mentoring: Deliver targeted individual and small-group mentoring sessions focused on improving emotional literacy, self-regulation, resilience, and social skills.
Strategy Implementation: Confidently and calmly implement Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) and risk assessments, working with teachers to adapt strategies to meet specific student needs.
Pastoral Collaboration: Work closely with the SENCO, Heads of Year, and external professionals to ensure a coherent and therapeutic approach to student well-being.

Experience: Significant, demonstrable experience in a Behaviour Support role (e.g., Youth Work, PRU/Alternative Provision, or Mainstream Secondary Inclusion) working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviour.
Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies. Training such as Team Teach or Positive Handling is highly desirable.
Resilience: Exceptional personal resilience, a calm and authoritative presence, and a genuine, non-judgemental approach toward pupils with complex needs.
Commitment: A robust commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Compliance: Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check registered to the Update Service.
