Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Stroud Secondary Schools

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11-16 in mainstream secondary schools across the Stroud area. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as ADHD and Autism, both in the classroom and during break times.
We're seeking individuals with experience working with young people, ideally in educational, SEN, or youth support settings, who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers and reach their potential.

Key Information:
* Roles available immediately and ongoing throughout the academic year
* Working hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (approx. 37 hours per week)
* Pay rate: £14.00 - £15.50 per hour, depending on experience
* Opportunities for long-term roles and school-based contracts

We are looking for people who:
* Have experience supporting young people aged 11-16, ideally those with SEN such as ADHD or Autism
* Have a genuine passion for helping young people thrive in education and in life
* Are positive, patient, and friendly, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
* Can work professionally, proactively, and reliably, providing the consistency young people need
* Have excellent communication skills and a flexible, team-focused approach
* Can offer support during lessons, social times, and around the school environment

Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people or within a school/SEN setting
* Hold an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be willing to apply for one with our support)
* Able to provide professional references covering recent employment
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
