A warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of Chorlton is seeking an inspirational Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from January 2026. This is a maternity cover position for the duration of one calendar year.

About the Role:

  • The Reception Class Teacher will play a key role in supporting children through their first formal year of education. The successful candidate will:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and safe.
  • Use a balance of play-based and structured learning to promote early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Maintain accurate observations and assessments in line with EYFS requirements, tracking progress and identifying next steps.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support holistic development.
  • Work collaboratively with the EYFS team to plan creative topics and share best practice.
