Job Description
A friendly and ambitious primary school in the Moston area of Manchester is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) from January 2026. This is a fixed-term role for two terms, forming part of a supportive and well-established job share arrangement.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with an existing Year 6 teacher to provide a consistent, engaging, and high-quality learning experience for pupils during this crucial final stage of primary education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering inspiring lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum, particularly with a focus on preparation for end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs).
- Collaborating closely with the job-share partner to ensure continuity of teaching, learning, and classroom routines.
- Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress to ensure all children are well-prepared for secondary transition.
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement, while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicating effectively with parents, colleagues, and leadership to support each child's learning journey.
About the Job Share:
The school values collaboration and strong communication. The successful candidate will:
- Work in partnership with their job-share colleague to ensure planning, marking, and assessment are aligned.
- Participate in joint planning sessions and regular handovers to maintain consistency for pupils.
- Contribute to the shared vision and goals of the Year 6 team and the wider school community.
