Are you an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 teacher looking for a new role in a warm and welcoming school community? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Part-Time Year 5 Teacher to join a wonderful school in the heart of Glossop.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with an average-sized Year 5 class comprising a range of abilities, including a small number of pupils on the SEND register. You will also be supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant who can be deployed flexibly to help maximise outcomes for all pupils. The role will be 3 days a week (days to be confirmed) and the school will consider both ECTs and more experienced staff memebers. There will be an element of planning, but the role supports strong work life balance within a friendly, supportive setting where both staff and pupils thrive!

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and can hit the ground running, direct experience in Year 5 is desirable but not essential
• Uses effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
• Is a strong team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
• Creates purposeful lesson plans with effective resource to both scaffold and stretch learners to maximise learning outcomes
• A teacher who uses a range of learning styles to support visual, audio and kinaesthetic learners
• Builds trusting relationships with pupils, classroom staff, and the wider school community
• Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching to ensure every child reaches their full potential
