Graduate Teaching Opportunity - Blackpool

Kickstart your journey into teaching with a clear route to SCITT

Location: Blackpool
Contract: 1-3 school terms (via agency)
Progression: Priority interview for a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme

Are you a recent graduate keen to start a career in education? We're working with a respected local SCITT provider to offer a brilliant opportunity for graduates to gain school experience before moving into teacher training.

The Role

You'll be based in a supportive Blackpool school, helping teachers and pupils on a day-to-day basis while developing key classroom and communication skills. It's a great chance to see what teaching is really like before committing to a training course.

At the end of your placement, you'll be offered a priority interview for the partner SCITT programme - giving you a direct route towards achieving QTS.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in lessons, small groups or one-to-one
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop behaviour management and leadership skills
  • Contribute to pupils' progress and wellbeing

We're Looking For

  • A degree in any subject area
  • A genuine interest in working with young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
