🎓 Graduate Teaching Opportunity - Maths

Kickstart your journey into teaching Maths with a clear route to SCITT

Location: Knowsley
Contract: 1-3 school terms
Progression: Priority interview for a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme
Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Are you a recent graduate in Maths or due to complete your university studies and are keen to start a career in education? We are working with a respected local SCITT provider in Knowsley to offer a brilliant opportunity for graduates to gain school experience before moving into teacher training.

🌟 The Role

You'll be based in a supportive Knowsley school, helping teachers and pupils on a day-to-day basis while developing key classroom and communication skills. It's a great chance to see what teaching is really like before committing to a training course.

At the end of your placement, you'll be offered a priority interview for the partner SCITT programme - giving you a direct route towards achieving QTS.

💼 Responsibilities

* Support pupils in lessons, small groups or one-to-one
* Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Develop behaviour management and leadership skills
* Contribute to pupils' progress and wellbeing

* A degree in Maths
* A genuine interest in working with young people
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Commitment to progress to Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
