Our client is a creative and popular secondary school with a busy, well-resourced Science Department.
They are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team and support the delivery of outstanding science education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to gain invaluable classroom experience. After one or two successful terms as a TA, there is potential to progress onto a paid teacher training programme within the school.
The Role
Support teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging science lessons
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and practical skills
Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for experiments and demonstrations
Assist in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, enrichment activities, and trips
The Ideal Candidate
A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline)
Passionate about education and eager to inspire young learners
Confident, proactive, and organised with strong communication skills
A team player with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
Interested in pursuing a teaching career
