Are you a recent Science graduate looking to take your first step into education?

Do you have a passion for inspiring young people and a desire to pursue a rewarding career in teaching?

Our client is a creative and popular secondary school with a busy, well-resourced Science Department.

They are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team and support the delivery of outstanding science education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to gain invaluable classroom experience. After one or two successful terms as a TA, there is potential to progress onto a paid teacher training programme within the school.

The Role

  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging science lessons

  • Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and practical skills

  • Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for experiments and demonstrations

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment

  • Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, enrichment activities, and trips

The Ideal Candidate

  • A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline)

  • Passionate about education and eager to inspire young learners

  • Confident, proactive, and organised with strong communication skills

  • A team player with a willingness to learn and develop professionally

  • Interested in pursuing a teaching career
