We are seeking a Science Teacher to join a dynamic and high-achieving secondary school in Lambeth on a maternity cover from January. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring students in science and contributing to a collaborative school environment.

About the Role:

Start date: January - 1-year maternity contract

Salary: London MPS/UPS

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Has strong subject knowledge in one or more Science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Has experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4, ideally including GCSE.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Can inspire students, nurture curiosity, and promote academic excellence.
• Works well collaboratively and is adaptable to the needs of the school.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and monitor progress.
• Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences to foster curiosity and achievement.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider departmental initiatives.
