Are you an organised and efficient administrator with experience using SIMS? We're looking for a skilled School Administrator to join a welcoming school on the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous school office experience who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys supporting staff, students, and parents as part of a close-knit team.
About the Role:
As the School Administrator, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of the school office. You'll handle a range of administrative tasks, maintain accurate pupil data, and act as the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries. Using SIMS daily, you'll support attendance monitoring, pupil records, and communication with parents and staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive, approachable, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily administrative tasks within the school office
Use SIMS to update and maintain pupil data, attendance, and records
Provide front-of-house support, handling enquiries from parents, pupils, and visitors
Assist with correspondence, reports, and document preparation
Support staff with administrative and data requirements
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Contribute to the smooth operation of the school's administrative and communication systems
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working in a school office environment (essential)
Strong working knowledge of SIMS or similar system
Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
A calm and professional manner with attention to detail
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience supporting attendance, admissions, or finance administration
Knowledge of other school management systems or software
