Tradewind are on the lookout for Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant's with a strong SEN background, to support pupils at a special school in South Birmingham. We are currently seeking those available for daily supply opportunities.

The school supports KS1 and KS2 children with physical needs, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), specific communication and learning needs, visual impairment and hearing impairment. Those with a combination of complex medical conditions and sensory level autism may also attend here.

Your Role:

Supporting students in their academic and personal development.

Building strong, nurturing relationships with students, providing emotional and social support.

Assisting teachers in implementing tailored lesson plans and adapting materials for diverse learning needs.

Assisting with personal care where necessary.

Encouraging communication and fostering independence among students.

Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Keeping detailed records and reporting progress to the teaching team.

Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent)

Proven experience working in a special school setting (3 months minimum)

Proven experience supporting children with complex needs including SLD and PMLD
