Primary Teacher

A friendly and well-established primary school in the Timperley area of Trafford is seeking a dedicated Supply & Support / Intervention Teacher to join its team from January 2026 for a two-term placement.

The Role

The successful candidate will deliver a dual-focused role, combining class cover during teachers' PPA time with targeted intervention work in Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities include:

• Morning PPA Cover: Deliver high-quality lessons to classes, ensuring pupils remain engaged and learning continues seamlessly during teachers' Planning, Preparation, and Assessment time.
• Afternoon Interventions: Lead small group or one-to-one sessions for Key Stage 2 pupils, targeting areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics to accelerate progress and address gaps in learning.
• Plan and prepare lessons and interventions in line with the school's curriculum and teaching policies.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers and senior staff.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
• Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and leadership staff to ensure interventions are effective and tailored to pupils' needs.
